Author/importer Kermit Lynch called it the “wine route.” Once we’re on it, that “route” leads us to interesting people, wine styles, and vineyards near and far. This journal of my personal “route” is an effort to share some things that may be useful and interesting as you explore this world on your own.

Wine makes us into lifelong learners and puts us on a journey.

I am a Certified Specialist of Wine (CSW) and have a broad background in non-profit communications and the arts. I studied journalistic writing through the UCLA Extension and have traveled to wine regions around the world. Additional wine studies include the level two award from the Wine and Spirits Education Trust (WSET), and the French Wine Scholar curriculum. My writing appears frequently in the Oregon Wine Press and when I’m not writing about wine, I can be found pouring it in the tasting room at Campbell Lane Winery near where I live in Oregon’s beautiful Willamette Valley.
